RADCOM provides a wide range of available plug-in Line Interface Modules (LIMs) for its WAN/LAN/ATM protocol analyzers. RADCOM's series of LIMs are compliant with ATM Forum UNI specifications and enable flexible configuration. They each include 2 receive ports and 2 transmit ports. Performance measurements and error status reports are produced via the line status process. Each LIM has two modes of operation:
1. Simulation, in which it replaces an end point in an ATM connection and enables simultaneous transmitting and receiving on two ports.
2. Monitoring, in which it monitors the bi-directional communications between two ATM devices, e.g., between a workstation and an ATM switch. The following
